If you take the concept of photography at its basic definition, then it may seem like a fairly dull past time. However, nothing can surpass the feeling of capturing that perfect moment in a picture. Whether it is a game winning goal, or a majestic eagle taking flight, the beauty of a perfectly taken picture can take your breath away. Last summer I took a trip to Ireland, and thus came my first experience with my own digital camera. While I'm no pro like a wedding photographer, I do love the art of photography. At first I thought I would only find interest in taking photographs with family and friends. That was until we visited the ring of Kerry. I was awestruck by such natural beauty, that I finally realized the vast capabilities that photography has. Not only do photographs immobilize important moments throughout history, but they can also capture the overlooked beauty of the world. Photography may just be a hobby for you, or it may be your livelihood, either way you can't help but appreciate the work put into photography and the beauty that is the end result. |
