A Home on Wheels Ready to Explore the Open Road

posted on 14 February 2012

I love traveling. Put me in a plane and send me to an exotic destination, or simply give me a tank of gas and tell me to drive, and I'm always enthusiastic about visiting new locations I have yet to visit in the past. One form of traveling that I feel is criminally underrated is going on a road trip in a motorhome or RV. When I was 13 years old, my parents decided to hire a motorhome for my family to go on a little trip up north, and I had the time of my life. While my dad drove, the rest of us would sing songs in the back, play card and board games, tell stories, or just laugh and appreciate the scenery. Every so often we would stop off at a nice outdoor location and set up a grill and cook dinner, start a campfire, and just sit and take in everything around us. I have had few travel experiences that can match the peaceful serenity of hitting the open road in an RV, and I truly feel that anyone who hasn't experienced that kind of trip should not hesitate to do so any longer.
